Yoquity is an informational tool for organizing and visualizing your own financial data. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice of any kind. No content in the app or on this website constitutes a recommendation or solicitation to buy, sell, or hold any security, fund, or other financial instrument.
You are solely responsible for your financial decisions. The existence of a projection, rebalancing suggestion, or FIRE date estimate in the app does not mean that course of action is appropriate for your situation.
Accuracy of calculations and projections
All figures displayed by Yoquity, including net worth, allocation percentages, drift amounts, FIRE projections, and Monte Carlo simulation results, are estimates based on the data you import and the assumptions you configure. They are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
Projections use simplified models (compound growth, fixed contributions, constant withdrawal rates) that cannot predict actual market conditions. Monte Carlo simulations randomize return paths around an assumed rate but cannot account for real-world events, inflation surprises, tax changes, or other factors. A projected retirement date or portfolio value is a mathematical estimate, not a guarantee.
Always verify important numbers against your official account statements from your brokerage or financial institution.
Market data and prices
Live price data, when you choose to refresh it, is fetched from a public third-party source (Yahoo Finance). Yoquity sends only ticker symbols (for example, VTI) to retrieve prices. It never sends your account numbers, balances, share counts, or personal information to any price service.
Prices may be delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable. Yoquity makes no representations about the accuracy or timeliness of market data and is not responsible for errors in third-party data.
AI Copilot
The optional AI Copilot feature runs a language model entirely on your machine. No portfolio data, holdings, account information, or personal details are sent to any server when you use the AI Copilot. The model is downloaded once from a public model repository and runs locally after that.
AI-generated responses are produced by a language model and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. The AI Copilot is designed to explain and explore your data, not to give financial advice or investment recommendations. Always verify AI responses against your actual account statements and your own judgment.
Your data and privacy
Yoquity stores your portfolio data in a single SQLite file on your machine. There is no account creation, no cloud sync, and no server that receives your financial data. The app functions entirely offline. The only optional outbound connections are the price refresh described above and the one-time AI model download.
Yoquity does not collect usage data, analytics, or any personal information from within the app itself. This marketing website uses Google Analytics to measure site traffic. No financial data entered into the app is ever sent to this website or to any analytics service.
No warranty; limitation of liability
Yoquity is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the makers of Yoquity accept no liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other loss or damage arising from your use of the app or reliance on any information it provides.
